Application

VAV units are used in air conditioning and ventilation systems to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. The VAV unit is controlled by a thermostat or DDC controller and varies the air quantity based on cooling and/or ventilation needs. This results in considerable savings in fan energy because, with little or no cooling demand, the valve can be partially or even completely closed. The VAV unit can also be used for air quality control. Depending on the CO2 concentration, more or less fresh air is then supplied. The units are available in single and double-walled versions.

  • Flap blade; sandwich construction, 1.5mm SBR rubber sheeting with an insert between 2 galvanized steel sheets.
  • Bearings; NYLON (PP6.6), maintenance free
  • Klepas; Aluminum ø12 mm
  • Operating temperature + 5 ° C to + 50 ° C
  • Storage temperature –5 ° C to + 70 ° C

  • 2% accuracy
  • Extruded aluminum measuring profile.
  • Hole distribution according to Log-Tchebycheff method.
  • Average measurement over 6, 8 or 10 measuring points.
  • Amplification of measurement signal with at least 2.5x.
  • Accurate measurement from 1.0m / s air speed
  • Rounded measuring openings make the FloXact ™ insensitive to skewed or turbulent flow up to 30º in all directions relative to the profile axis.
