Application
FloXacts are used in air conditioning and ventilation systems to measure the air quantity. The VAV unit is controlled by a thermostat or DDC controller and varies the air quantity based on cooling and/or ventilation needs. This results in considerable savings in fan energy because, with little or no cooling demand, the valve can be partially or even completely closed. The VAV unit can also be used for air quality control. Depending on the CO2 concentration, more or less fresh air is then supplied. The units are available in single and double-walled versions.
Construction
- 2% accuracy
- Extruded aluminum measuring profile.
- Brass connection grommets. Standard hose internal o4mm (o6mm on request)
- Hole distribution according to Log-Tchebycheff method.
- Average measurement over 4 to 12 measuring points.
- Amplification of measurement signal with at least 2.5x.
- Accurate measurement from 1.0m / s air speed
- Rounded measuring openings make the FloXact™ insensitive to skewed or turbulent flow up to 30º in all directions relative to the profile axis.
Control (optional)
- The FloXact is suitable for all makes of VAV regulators with a built-in pressure transducer. A measuring range of at least 150Pa is sufficient, this corresponds to approximately 10m / s air speed.
- The FloXact can be supplied with a pressure transducer type DPT-FLOW-1000. The advantage of this pressure transducer is that the Kv value can be set so that the air volume can be read directly in the display and the output signal, (0 (2) -10V or 0 (4) -40mA, is proportional to the air volume.
- The FloXact can also be supplied with a pressure transducer type EPD-1000. This pressure transducer only has an output signal, 0-10V or 0-40mA, proportional to the pressure.
