The Cubehouse, Amsterdam
At the end of December, the construction of The CubeHouse in Amsterdam started. The new accommodation of the bank BNP Paribas and consultancy and engineering organisation Arcadis is the first hybrid wooden building on the Zuidas. SO-IL is responsible for the design of the more than 16,000 square meter complex.
Sustainability is an important starting point in the development of this office. The aim is to develop an energy-neutral, future-proof and low-installation building. The building and the plants must be able to withstand extreme climate influences such as excessive rain, wind, heat and drought. The parties themselves have expressed the ambition to realise the most sustainable building in Zuidas and want to use the building as a ‘breeding ground for new sustainable concepts’.
Air-Concepts has supplied the VAV units with Schneider Transformers to Reeskamp Climate Control .
