IKC Het Park
The new Integral Child Center Het Park will be built in the Amersfoort Schothorst district. The replacement new building will be built on the site of the existing school, adjacent to the park. Primary school the Parkschool, special primary education Koningin Wilhelminaschool, childcare, playgroup and after-school care of Partou will be combined under one roof in the Child Centre.
The design of the Child Center is inspired by the green location and the educational vision ‘learning through movement’. The building is designed as a composition of large wooden windows with a lot of glass. The relationship between indoors and outdoors with the greenery and the park is central and is reinforced by the large roof terraces and outdoor stairs. From each classroom there is access to the square or a roof terrace with the aim of enlarging and enriching the classroom and classroom.
The architect is 19hetatelier and Air-Concepts supplies the control and measurement equipment to Brandsen Installatietechniek so that IKC Het Park meets The Fresh Schools Project.
