Air-Concepts supplied VAV units with airtight valves that are mostly used in special applications such as hospitals, laboratories, etc. The insulated, double-walled housing prevents condensation in cold primary air and reduces the emitted noise.

The unit is controlled by a room sensor with temperature and/or CO2 or from the building management system and varies the air volume based on the cooling requirement and/or ventilation requirement. This results in significant savings on fan energy, as with little or no cooling requirement, the valve can be partially or even completely closed.

We have provided our subsidiary Barcol-Air UK with the VAV terminals for their customer.
