APPLICATION

Rectangular VAV units are used for larger air volumes and/or if round units cannot be used due to lack of space. These VAV units are usually used in ventilation systems to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. The primary air is then a few degrees below the room temperature. At air temperatures below 15°C, we recommend using insulated units or insulating the unit externally. The unit is controlled by a room sensor with temperature and/or_CO2 or from the building management system and varies the air volume based on cooling demand and/or ventilation requirement. This results in significant savings in fan energy because, with little or no cooling demand, the valve can be partially or even completely closed

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

Air flow sensor: the FloXact™ has a linear gain factor of at least 2.5x, and measures the average over a large number of measuring points according to the Log-Tchebycheff method. Due to the special profile shape of the FloXact™, it can regulate from 0.7 m/s inlet speed and has a very large control range and a maximum deviation of 2% at 3xD straight flow.
Housing: Magnelis steel (S235+ZM310). This steel with a modern surface treatment with a very high corrosion resistance. It is less harmful to the environment and has a beautiful appearance (comparable to anodized aluminum). Airtightness Class-B according to LUKA and EN-1751.
Valve blade: profiled Magnelis steel blades, 100 mm. Airtightness Class 1 according to LUKA and EN-1751.
Bearings and gears: Nylon maintenance-free
Controller: As standard, we supply the VAV units without control equipment or complete with Belimo controllers. Air-Concepts also installs control equipment supplied by third parties such as Priva, Johnson Controls, EasyIO, Distech, KMC, Sauter, Siemens, Honeywell, etc.
