APPLICATION
VAV units are used in air conditioning and ventilation systems to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. The unit is controlled by a thermostat or DDC controller and varies the air volume based on cooling and/or ventilation requirements. This results in significant savings in fan energy because, when there is little or no cooling demand, the valve can be partially or even completely closed.
The VAV unit can also be used for air quality control. Depending on the CO2 concentration, more or less fresh air is supplied.
FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- The measuring cross (FloXact™) is very accurate due to the robotized production method. It has a maximum deviation of 2% at 3xD straight flow.
- The FloXact™ has a linear gain factor of at least 2.5x, and measures over 6, 8 or 10 measurement points according to the Log-Tchebycheff method.
- Due to the special profile shape of the FloXact™ it can control from 0.7 m/s inlet velocity and has a very wide control range.
- Casing: Magnelis steel (S235+ZM310). This steel with a modern surface treatment. It has a very high corrosion resistance, is less harmful to the environment and has a beautiful appearance (comparable to anodized aluminum). Airtight class D according to EN-1751.
- Damper blade: sandwich construction, 1.5mm SBR sheet rubber with inlay between 2 galvanised steel blades. Airtight class 2 according to EN-1751.
- We supply units without control equipment or complete with Belimo and Grüner controllers.
