FloXact™ Air Velocity Sensor for Rectangular Ducts Metric.

APPLICATION

The FloXact™-L is used to measure air velocity / air volume in HVAC systems. The design is suitable for easy installation in new and renovated VAV terminals. The FloXact™-L works according to the pitot tube principle and measures the total and static pressure components of the air flow. The sensor determines the average air velocity, measured over 2×6, 2×8, 2×10 or 2×12 measuring points, depending on the size. The unique shape of the measuring profile provides a linear gain of at least 2.5x Pdyn, allowing accurate measurements from an air velocity of 1.0 m/s. The FloXact™-L is available from ø200 to ø1500, but other diameters are also available on request.

  • The FloXact™ can be supplied with pressure transducer type DPT-FLOW-1000. The advantage of this pressure transducer is that the Kv value can be set so that the air volume can be read directly on the display and the output signal, (0(2)-10V or 0(4)-40mA, is proportional to the air volume.
  • The FloXact™ can also be supplied with a pressure transducer type EPD-1000. This pressure transducer has only an output signal, 0-10V or 0-40mA, which is proportional to the pressure.
