FloXact™ Air Velocity Sensor for Rectangular Ducts Imperial

APPLICATION

FloXacts™ are used in air conditioning and ventilation systems to measure air flow. The VAV unit is controlled by a thermostat or DDC controller and varies the air volume based on cooling and/or ventilation requirements. This results in significant savings in fan energy because, when there is little or no cooling demand, the valve can be partially or even completely closed. The VAV unit can also be used for air quality control. Depending on the CO2 concentration, more or less fresh air is supplied. The units are available in single- and double-walled versions.

  • The FloXact™ can be supplied with pressure transducer type DPT-FLOW-1000. The advantage of this pressure transducer is that the Kv value can be set so that the air volume can be read directly on the display and the output signal, (0(2)-10V or 0(4)-40mA, is proportional to the air volume.
  • The FloXact™ can also be supplied with a pressure transducer type EPD-1000. This pressure transducer has only an output signal, 0-10V or 0-40mA, which is proportional to the pressure.
