VAV en CAV units

Choosing the right VAV or CAV unit can be a complex decision, depending on several factors:

Single-walled or double-walled
In most cases, a single-walled unit is sufficient, as noise pollution is often not a problem. However, when primary air temperatures are lower than 15°C, we recommend choosing double-walled units, to prevent condensation.

With or without integrated silencer
Today, 70% of the VAV units we supply are equipped with an integrated silencer, due to the stricter noise standards in the specifications. An additional advantage of this integrated silencer is that the measuring cross is mounted inside the units and is therefore insensitive to (poor) inflow.

With or without heating or cooling battery
The choice of a heating or cooling battery depends on the design of the system. When the VAV units are used exclusively for ventilation, the air is blown in at room temperature or slightly cooler, and additional heating or cooling is not necessary. In systems with full air handling, colder primary air is introduced to cover the cooling load, and we provide the units with post-heating batteries for heating in winter.

Special applications
For specific situations, we also offer Induction VAV units, VAV units with built-in fan or custom-made solutions for, for example, renovations (1:1 replacements), limited installation space or units that are visible.

Control equipment
Our VAV units are supplied as standard with Belimo controllers, factory calibrated and set. In addition, we can also install control equipment from third parties such as Priva, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, EasyIO, Distech, KMC, Sauter, Siemens and Honeywell.
