Frisius MC, Leeuwarden

Frisius MC, Leeuwarden

The new complex of Frisius MC Leeuwarden, formerly Leeuwarden Medical Center, has five floors containing an intensive care unit, operating rooms and day treatment. The new building will be built on the care site of Frisius MC, which requires careful construction site logistics and coordination with the hospital. The most important starting point for the new building is to be able to provide the best possible patient care in a sustainable way. In this way, the new building will soon meet the highest sustainability requirements. There is also a strong focus on digitization, including the realization of a hybrid OR and a state-of-the-art ICU with a ‘healing environment’.

In the coming years, Frisius MC will not only build a new building, but also an innovative, sustainable and future-proof place. Construction is expected to take two years, so that the new building can be put into use in 2027.

Johnson Controls is using Air-Concepts’ VAV units for this project.
